Creative Solutions Custom Tailored for Each Learner
My mission is to instill a joy for learning, in every child, by leading each to a new way they can achieve. I am committed to the progress of every student and the light in their eyes as the byproduct. I believe all learners can improve, given research-based interventions, and a cultivated student learning environment.

I have worked with a variety of students attending public schools in New York, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and North Dakota for the last 11 years. I have experience working with students diagnosed with a variety of disabilities.
I have completed 60 hours of in person training to teach Orton-Gillingham. Both "Comprehensive Orton-Gillingham Plus" and "Morphology Plus" trainings were through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE) programs. I successfully completed my observation requirements for both.
I implement a conglomeration of research-based interventions in a multi-sensory, hybrid model of in-person and virtual sessions.

I am an enthusiast for transforming children into lifelong learners and English Language Arts. My passion for my career was derived from personal experience. I was diagnosed with dyslexia and Specific Learning Disability (SLD), as a child. I didn't develop reading proficiency until the summer after 2nd grade. This has shaped me for my soul's purpose and my life's plan. I answer to one of the highest callings on the planet. I'm a teacher.
I create Specialized Academic Instruction. I believe in research-based interventions that incorporates the latest multidisciplinary models in education. Effective learning environments produce collaborative workers and complex thinkers. Providing quality, student-centered instruction driven by data and relationships remains one of the core catalysts for success in skill development today.
All my students show growth.
Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions about my favorite interventions, including Orton Gillingham instruction.

Special Education Child Advocacy
I have been working for students who require specialized instruction since 2009. In that time, I have learned how to guide parents and offer support.
My services can be utilized to:
*Answer questions concerning your child's Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
* Connect with teachers and service providers in the school setting.
* Attend meetings for your child's school related meetings, if my schedule allows it. I am here for the continuous questions that arise during a year of interpreting student progress.
In my career, I have served as an educator and advocate in several settings, states, and across grade level k-12. I have grown in leadership roles such as developing curriculum, courses, and differentiated assessments.
I have educated general education staff on the latest Response to Intervention procedures for the public school system. I also served as a PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Support) Facilitator and Lead Special Education Teacher. I have experience maintaining a series of records and data, as well as generating reports and presentations. I have gained experience developing assessments that align with standards, and neurocognitive complexity.
